privacy policy

Introduction

Hatching Point provides LevelUp+ for voice reflections, AI-generated build reports, and local personal-growth history. Feature content, optional product analytics, and advertising measurement are separate data uses.

Reflection content and device storage

Profiles, goals, chosen focus areas, audio recordings, transcripts, reports, version history, streaks, and preferences are stored in the app’s local database and files. Device backups may include this information. Personal-growth scores are app-generated reflections, not medical measurements.

Microphone and Speech Recognition permission are required for voice transcription. LevelUp+ uses Apple’s Speech framework, which may process audio on Apple’s servers. On-device availability depends on the device and language; the app does not promise exclusively on-device transcription.

When you share or export, the selected content goes to the destination you choose. Local notification permissions control reminders. Optional location tools, where used, request iOS permission and use Apple geocoding to provide a place label.

AI analysis and your choice

The AI choice is separate from usage analytics. If you enable AI sharing and request analysis, reflection text and relevant saved context are sent through Point’s AI service to OpenAI. This can include previous summaries, wins, challenges, active improvements, and app-generated version, streak, or stability context. Weekly summaries use selected saved report text.

AI input can include names or other personal information you speak or type. Enable it only for content you want processed. The AI choice is available during setup and in Settings. Turning it off blocks future analysis requests, including weekly summaries; saved reports remain on your device.

AI processing is needed to generate a new AI report, but consent is not permission for analytics or advertising tracking. Turning it off does not remove information providers already processed. Provider processing and retention follow applicable service terms.

Optional usage analytics

Usage analytics are off until you choose to share. You can decline, change your choice before purchase, or withdraw it in Settings → Privacy choices. Declining usage analytics does not change your plan or access.

If enabled, Point uses PostHog for bounded app lifecycle, onboarding steps, feature availability and use, durable report completion, history viewing, paywall activity, and purchase outcomes. Events use an anonymous installation identifier with app, version, platform, and environment context.

Usage events exclude audio, transcripts, reports, names, email addresses, goals, focus areas, exact scores, streaks, dates, location, notification content, transaction identifiers, and raw errors. Session replay and automatic screen/content capture are disabled.

Withdrawal stops future product analytics and clears pending local analytics. It does not retroactively delete already received events. Apple’s advertising-tracking choice and AI sharing remain separate.

Advertising measurement

With Apple tracking authorization, Meta and TikTok may receive app activity, advertising/device identifiers, and purchase information to measure and improve advertising. Denying tracking does not require enabling product analytics and does not block the app’s features. You can change Apple tracking permission in iOS Settings. SDK diagnostics may include crash or other diagnostic information.

Purchases, support, and network services

Apple handles purchases and payment details. The app reads subscription products and entitlement status; introductory offers depend on Apple’s eligibility rules. We do not receive payment-card information.

If you submit feedback, your message, optional email address, and app/device context are sent to Point’s support service on Convex. Include only information you want to share. App discovery requests public App Store listings from Apple.

Point’s AI service uses request and service identifiers to operate and secure requests. Network services receive IP addresses and request metadata necessary to respond. Optional product analytics does not include your reflection content.

Your controls and data requests

Use Privacy choices for usage analytics and the separate AI toggle in Settings. Manage microphone, speech recognition, notifications, location, and tracking permissions in iOS Settings.

Local deletion controls remove app data from this device. Exported copies, device backups, or information already sent to providers may remain. Uninstalling removes the local app container.

Contact inquiry@hatchingpoint.com for privacy questions or data requests. Service data is retained as needed to provide, support, and secure the service and meet legal requirements. Anonymous usage events may not be attributable to a named person.

Children and updates

LevelUp+ is not directed at children under 13. Policy changes are reflected in the updated date.

Optional advertising measurement

Some Hatching Point apps include Meta's SDK in a disabled state. It initializes only when measurement is enabled for that app and you authorize tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. When enabled, device identifiers, product interactions, and verified purchase event details such as value and currency may be shared with Meta for advertising measurement and analytics. Payment-card details are never shared. You can deny the request or revoke permission later in iOS Settings.
