Introduction

Hatching Point ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Dinner Dare mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Optional App Usage Data: If you choose to share usage, PostHog receives anonymous installation/session and app-version information, onboarding stages, successful feature use, repeat use, bounded errors, and purchase-flow outcomes. These events do not include your selected vibes, generated dares, saved plans, feedback content, or transaction IDs.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status (processed by Apple, we don't see payment details)
• Support: When you send feedback, we receive the message, contact information you provide, and app/device diagnostics needed to respond. This is separate from optional usage analytics.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve app functionality
• Process your subscription
• Respond to support requests
• Analyze usage to improve features

Third-Party Services

• Apple: App Store handles purchases and subscriptions. Your preferences and saved plans are stored locally using Apple frameworks.
• PostHog: Processes optional, bounded usage events to help us understand onboarding, useful features, and reliability.
• Meta and TikTok: When enabled and permitted through Apple’s separate App Tracking Transparency prompt, these services measure advertising results using device identifiers and app/purchase activity. Refusing tracking does not prevent you from using Dinner Dare.

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Preferences, dares, and saved plans remain on your device.
• Service Data: Optional analytics, authorized advertising measurement, and submitted support information are processed off-device by us and the services described above for their stated purposes.
• Encryption: All data transmitted uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

Your Rights

• Usage choices: Choose Share usage & continue or Continue without sharing on the first screen. You can use the app either way. Change or withdraw usage sharing in Settings → Privacy choices at any time. Withdrawal stops future optional usage collection; it does not automatically erase previously collected aggregates. Contact us with data requests.
• Tracking: Manage Apple’s separate tracking permission in iOS Settings. Usage consent does not grant tracking permission.
• Access: View all data stored in the app
• Delete: Remove your data at any time
• Cancel: Cancel subscription through App Store

Children's Privacy

Dinner Dare is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
