Introduction

Calmity offers guided resets, local episode reflections and optional AI assistance. Local storage, AI processing, optional usage analytics and advertising measurement have separate purposes and controls. Calmity is not an emergency service or a substitute for professional care.

Local reflections and guided exercises

Episode reflections, saved insights, profile preferences, selected challenges and check-in or reminder preferences are stored on your device. Guided breathing, grounding and the onboarding demo run locally. Device backups may include local app data.

Local reminders require notification permission. When you share an insight or open an external support resource, the chosen content or request goes to that destination under its policies. The app does not automatically send episode reflections to your contacts.

Optional AI assistance

AI Data Usage consent is separate from usage analytics. If you enable it and request episode analysis, your entered trigger, context, sensations, thoughts, behaviors and other debrief answers are sent through Point’s AI service to OpenAI. Command Mode sends the text you enter for a generated response.

AI consent starts off for new onboarding and can be reviewed or withdrawn in Settings. Both analysis and Command Mode check consent before network access. Local exercises and local debrief saving do not require AI processing.

Withdrawal blocks future AI requests; it does not erase already processed requests. Providers handle service and security data under their applicable policies. Include only information you want processed. Generated responses and risk labels can be inaccurate and do not establish a diagnosis.

Optional usage analytics

Product analytics are off until you choose to share. You can decline and change the choice through Privacy choices during onboarding, before payment and in Settings. Usage sharing does not control AI consent or subscription access.

If enabled, Point uses PostHog for bounded lifecycle, onboarding, guided-reset stages, saved-reflection stages, history views, paywall interactions and purchase outcomes. Events include an anonymous installation identifier and app/version/platform context. Saved-reflection completion requires a successful local save.

Analytics exclude symptoms, triggers, emotional ratings, personal challenges, reflection answers, command text, generated analysis, risk labels, health details, names, email, transaction identifiers and raw errors. Session replay and automatic content capture are disabled.

Withdrawing consent stops future product analytics and clears pending local events. It does not retroactively erase events already received. Apple’s advertising-tracking permission is separate.

Advertising measurement

With Apple tracking authorization, Meta and TikTok may receive app activity, advertising/device identifiers, and purchase information to measure and improve advertising. Denying tracking does not require enabling product analytics and does not block the app’s features. You can change Apple tracking permission in iOS Settings. SDK diagnostics may include crash or other diagnostic information.

Subscriptions, support and app discovery

Apple processes subscriptions and payment details and determines introductory-offer eligibility. Calmity reads products and entitlements; Hatching Point does not receive payment-card details.

Feedback you choose to submit, optional email and app/device context go to Point’s support service on Convex. Include only information you want to send. The More Apps area requests public App Store information from Apple.

Network services receive IP addresses and request metadata needed to operate and secure their services.

Controls and retention

Manage usage sharing in Privacy choices and AI consent in Settings → AI Data Usage. Manage reminders and advertising tracking in iOS Settings. Local deletion controls remove local records; exported copies and backups are separate.

Uninstalling removes the local app container. Service data is retained as needed to provide, support and secure services and meet legal obligations. Recipient services control retention of information sent to them.

Children and policy updates

Calmity is not directed at children under 13. Changes to this policy are reflected in its updated date.
