Local Recipe Data

Saved recipes, pantry items, shopping lists, dietary preferences, allergies, and taste signals are stored on your device. Your device backup settings may also apply. AI requests and support submissions are separate off-device processing described below.

Optional AI Recipe Processing

When you enable AI Recipe Processing, your recipe requests, ingredients, dietary preferences, allergies, cuisine and skill preferences, and taste signals are sent through our Convex service to OpenAI to generate recipes. Requests may include a recipe you ask to refine. You can continue without AI and turn processing off in Settings to stop new requests. Saved recipes remain available. Turning it off does not retract requests already sent. This choice is separate from usage sharing and Apple tracking permission.

Optional Usage Analytics

Usage sharing is off until you opt in. If enabled, PostHog receives bounded onboarding, feature, generation-success, save, purchase, restore, and error-category events, together with anonymous installation identifiers, app version, build, and environment. Analytics does not include recipe text, prompts, ingredient lists, dietary preferences, allergies, taste signals, names, emails, or support messages. You can continue without sharing and change the choice in Privacy choices on the paywall or in Settings. Declining usage sharing does not prevent use of app features.

Advertising Attribution

Apple tracking permission is separate. With the required permission, Meta and TikTok may receive app activity, device identifiers, and purchase information for advertising measurement. Usage consent does not grant Apple tracking permission. You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings.

Purchases and Support

Apple processes subscriptions and payment details; the app reads verified purchase status to provide access. Feedback you choose to send goes to our Convex service with your message, category, optional email, and app/device diagnostics. Feedback content is separate from usage analytics. Links to other apps use Apple's App Store services.

Data Controls

Manage usage sharing through Privacy choices, AI processing in app Settings, and tracking through iOS Settings. You can remove saved recipes in the app. Uninstalling removes local app storage; device backups are controlled through Apple settings. Contact us about support information already submitted. App controls do not erase data previously received by service providers.

Children

This service is not directed to children under 13.

Optional advertising measurement

Some Hatching Point apps include Meta's SDK in a disabled state. It initializes only when measurement is enabled for that app and you authorize tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. When enabled, device identifiers, product interactions, and verified purchase event details such as value and currency may be shared with Meta for advertising measurement and analytics. Payment-card details are never shared. You can deny the request or revoke permission later in iOS Settings.
